*So You Want to Finger a Fugato**?
*(to destroy the last bit of sophistication or humour
):
cf. Glenn Gould:
„So You Want to Write a Fugue?"
**from Sonata in b minor (the only Sonata Maestro Liszt has written - as far as I know)
1) Eugen d'Albert (Ed. Bote & G. Bock, Berlin 1917)

Re: Liszt
Liszt sure did put a lot of stuff in his sonata.....and I'd completely forgotten about this little fugetta, the sonata not being one of my favorite LIszt works, but I know a lot of people like it.
Funny you should mention Gould "So you want to write a Fugue?"...... I remember when this first came out in the US. Quite a pedantic little piece.
