Liszt sure did put a lot of stuff in his sonata.....and I'd completely forgotten about this little fugetta, the sonata not being one of my favorite LIszt works, but I know a lot of people like it.

Funny you should mention Gould "So you want to write a Fugue?"...... I remember when this first came out in the US. Quite a pedantic little piece.

Well, there you have it folks! Massed interest in Liszt's little fugue from diverse editors. Looking at the manuscript one can see Liszt actually fingered many passages.

I'm seeing a few, but not many differences in these editions, but editorial additions are clear.
