Liberace - the pianist everyone loved to hate. But behind that camp facade
lay quite a decent pianist imo. As regards the jazz version of Op13, I'm all

That's my thought too - it would definitely be interesting to see at least a small sample of the LIszt edition. But I understand if the score is too fragile...

I could post a Liszt edition, but you will be disappointed: no fingering, no pedal indications, nothing else of interest!
P.S. It is titled: "Erste vollständige Ausgabe unter Revision von Franz Liszt". (Published by Holle, Wolfenbüttel)

The Bosworth edition might well be revised by other editors!!

So I personally don't think there is an edition with any helpful hints from the master!!

I recommend Alan Walker's book "Reflections on Liszt" and especially the included essay "Liszt as Editor" which discusses the few things which Liszt did to the sonatas.

Thank you FW190 for all the Beethoven files 'revised' (fingered?) by Dukas!

Those little pieces don't realy need a 'revision', fingerings etc. This sort of revision is more a sort of marketing trick.
The edition was published by Durand & Fils, Paris, in 1918. 1918 means in the time of WW1. Not the best time to sell copies of German Piano Music in France.
So the publisher decorated the edition with a well-reputated French name.

It seems as though Beethoven's Pathetique and Moonlight Sonatas were
fertile ground for later adaptation. Here are some other examples:-

I remember reading (and a quick 'listen' seems to want to confirm this) that "Somewhere Out There" from the 1980's animated film "An American Talse" borrowes heavily from the 2nd movment of the 'Pathetique' as well....

The Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 3 (Op 27 No 3) solo transcription by Alkan. Has anyone been successful in tracking down or creating a better scan of this (I thought of this when seeing the wonderful work on some of the sonatas earlier with a successful effort to provide cleaner versions)?
The one available on IMLSP is horrible (I hate to say this about a piece of music, but only a reflection of the image quality).

I posted a clean version of the cadenza. The whole thing is not easy to locate.
