Re: Scandinavian Composers
Thank you Riodk. Your Troubadour Waltz reminds me of an old request by Musiclife regarding a Song of the Troubadour by Brinley Richards, held at the Denmark Copenhagen Royal Library.

Thank you very much for the informationmballan wrote:Beyond the Piano Concerto, the Danish Composer's Society lists only two works:HTIEKFR wrote:Hello
Has Rudolph Simonsen composed any solo piano works ?
Thanks
- Albumblatt für Klavier (1912........but remains in manuscript)
- Cadence to Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 4 in G major (premiered 1918, published by Hansen).
All the other pieces, where the piano is incorporated, are chambers works.

Yes, thank you for thinking of me!! I think another copy may be in a Brinley Richards collection in Berlin library.. may need to look into that... it really is a charming piece...Jean-Séb wrote:Thank you anyway.Riodk wrote:Nope. I still get the answer that it is not available for loan

Re: Scandinavian Composers
Would they consider a scan and upload? I believe they have a digital sheet music collection as well... It doesn't hurt to ask if you have a contact there... I would be most appreciative!Riodk wrote:I will try to get hold of it !

Re: Scandinavian Composers
Not sure if anybody has mentioned Fredrik Högberg in the thread yet but he is a favourite of mine. A little unusual and can be very humorous.
Here is a bit of an intro to his music and an excerpt from a piano concerto;

Re: Scandinavian Composers
Hello everyone!
I was wondering if anyone has sheet music from the Finnish composers, Vaino Raitio and Ernest Pingoud. The latter has some very interesting orchestral works, but I can't seem to find anything for piano by him such as his tango or concertos. Any help would be greatly appreciated for scores by either of them!
Pingoud also apparently committed suicide by throwing himself under a train in Helsinki in 1942, which is rather tragic.
Thanks!

Re: Scandinavian Composers
I have a poor copy of the Pingoud' tango, I'll dig it out and post - and to my knowledge the piano concertos were never published and remain in manuscript (you may be able to obtain copies via the Finnish Music Information Centre..........as with any of the other piano scores). Alas have seen nothing by Raitio.Medtnaculus wrote:Hello everyone!
