Music from the British Isles

Hi all, I'm searching for a piano solo transcription of the beautiful orchestral tune "The banks of green willow" by George Butterworth. I know there is one by John Mitchell, anyone could help me please?

I have just had a look at the Toccata by Mr Moeran from a Toccata thread.

I notice that he also wrote quite a few other solo pf pieces:
3 Pf Pieces, 1919
Theme and Variations, pf, 1920
On a May Morning, Stalham River, Toccata, all pf, 1921
Fancies, pf, 1922
Bank Holiday, Summer Valley, both pf, 1925
Berceuse, pf, 1933

Clearly, the Toccata here is the one from 1921.

If anyone had any scans of these, it would be lovely to see them. Thank you.

Moeran's complete solo piano music has been reissued in two volumes by Thames Music.
I DO own the two volumes, but I hesitate to scan them....

P.S. Does anyone happen to have the Sonata No. 1 op. 2 by Alan Bush??
Or piano music by John Gerrard Williams??

Well this is excellent! Music I can actually buy and keep normally on a shelf. Thanks for letting me know.

Most, if not all of Moeran's piano music has already been scanned and was put up on the old site some time ago, but Thames Publishing deserves heartfelt credit for its great work in making available again some marvellous and unfairly neglected music by English composers such as Moeran and Frank Bridge, and it's worth supporting them by buying the scores!
While waiting for the music to come, though, here's one of my Moeran favorites, Stalham River, an ecstatic piece of nature painting of the kind that's instantly recognisable as English. It always seems to make a very good impression in recital too!
If you develop a soft spot for Moeran's music, try the G minor Symphony, a dark and powerful piece of music and one of the 'great' British symphonies.

Dear all,

It's been a long time since my last visit to Pianophilia. Boy, have things changed!

Anyway, I'm looking for John Foulds' Essays in the Modes, Op.78. I went to IMSLP.org, it says it is PD in Canada but not elsewhere. Do I have to find a friend in Canada (I don't know anyone in that beautiful country)? Or may a charitable soul post scans of the score? I hope I'm not breaking any rules by asking this...

Asking is totally ok. Since Foulds died in 1939 his compositions will be in public domain in the EU and most western countries with the beginning of 2010. So it should be available on IMSLP then without restrictions.
