BENELUX - Music from Belgium, Netherlands & Luxembourg
Re: BENELUX - Music from Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg
I'm hoping this is the right place for this- anyhow...
I've been scouring the Internet trying to find sheet music for these pieces, all by Dutch composers (I'm pretty sure all of them are public domain- they sound Romantic to late-Romantic period to my ears, but I haven't been able to find info on all of the composers to be sure.)
Fantasie No. 1, by Jan van Boom
Sonatine, Op. 3 No. 1, by Gerrit Jan van Eijken
Four Etudes, by Ernst Lubeck
Dolorosa, ma non patetico, by Léandre Schlegel
Drie stukken (Three Piano Pieces), Op.29, by Jan Brandts Buys
5 Klavierstukken (Piano Pieces) Op.15, by Dirk Schafer
If anyone could help me out, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, Riodk ! Great pieces !
Have you seen the tempo of the third piece ?
"Etwas langsamer, als man glaubt"
Never seen such a precise hint.

Best regards, Ferruccio

Thank you, Riodk! I did check IMSLP before coming here, but I was looking under Buys, not Brandt-Buys. Thank you very much for finding it for me.

Orthel was indeed Dutch, but also died as recently as 1985. Quite a bit of his music is available commercially and of course would still be under copyright, but I am prepared to allow Ilu's posting of his Sonatina No.6 as a sample of his work. Please refrain from posting his other scores unless they are not available from other sources.Dani_area_51 wrote:Does anyone has more pieces by Leon Orthel? He his a dutch composer I think...
