Hispanic popular music

Post by lebowl »

Does anyone have a transcription of the song "En Mi Viejo San Juan"? Any version would be OK, but the more advanced is better. I play at a senior center where this song is popular but I have not been able to locate a free version on the web.

Here's a very nice piano transcription of "Besame Mucho" I found.

THANKS

"Besame Mucho" is a song by Consuelo Velázquez -Mexican composer-

There is another version in the thread "Music from México".

Three things, Larry.

1) You should have called this thread Latin American popular music (excluding Mexico)

2) You will find a good piano solo of the song you request in MIDI format on this page: http://www.pcdon.com/midiboleros.html

3) If, as I hope, you transcribe the MIDI, please post a copy of your transcription for the rest of us to enjoy.

As PP is currently quite strong on unknown Russians, here's something by one of the least
known of all. The scan wasn't perfect - unfortunately it was out of my control.
(Strangely, the above posts have 'Re: Hispanic popular music' as their header rather than
'Re: Piano Transcriptions for two hands'.)

That's because the posts were transferred from another thread.

I see! Is it intentional, or a flaw in the phpBB3 coding?

When transferring misplaced posts from one thread to another, the default is that the post title (taken from the thread in which the post was created) remains unchanged. I sometimes alter them, but usually not, so that members can see exactly what has been done.

Does anyone have Kirkor's transcription of Rachmaninoff's Isle of Dead?
