Caruso
Does anyone know if a Caruso recording(the original one sided 78 record from 1910) in very good condition is worth anything? Or where I could find out? A friend just told me he has one.

Re: Caruso
Larry, value would depend on the following factors, condition and rarity. There is a specialist shop in your area called Norbeck, Peters & Ford http://www.norpete.com/ and they have the knowledge that we don't have, I would check them out and see what they say. My own feelings are that there are very few Caruso recordings that have great value because he was the best selling artist of his day because his voice suited the recording machine. Therefore 1000's of pressings were made of each record.lebowl wrote:Does anyone know if a Caruso recording(the original one sided 78 record from 1910) in very good condition is worth anything? Of course your friends disc may just be one of the rare ones, who knows, but I would think Norbeck, Peters & Ford will be able to answer any question you ask them.
