Re: French Piano Music
From the Ricardo Viñes manuscript collection, an engraving of a suite by Carol-Bèrard (1881-1942) aka Olivier Réaltor
Interesting manuscript which is colourfully annotated by the composer and (probably) its dedicatee Ricardo Viñes. Due to some of the non-standard tempo and expressive markings, I've taken a mix of both annotations, which I hope provide more clarity.
In all matters refer back to the manuscript in this collection: https://udspace.udel.edu/collections/ac ... 457efa5106
BNF record for the composer: https://data.bnf.fr/en/ark:/12148/cb148339676

Re: French Piano Music
Also from the Viñes manuscripts, by Maxime Jacob (1906-1977) aka Dom Clément Jacob https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maxime_Jacob
Jacob studied at the Paris Conservatorie along side Charles Koechlin and was later an organ student of Maurice Duruflé.
- if the 1920 date is correct was written just as the composer was turning 14.
It is dedicated to the noted pianist and teacher Jane Mortier. https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jane_Mortier
