Re: The Music of Ludwig van Beethoven
I am looking for Beethoven Piano Sonatas edited by Craxton and Tovey. It is difficult to find it because now there is other edition by ABRSM. Could anyone upload it? Thanks in advanced.

As noted in IMSLP forums on this subject: Craxton lived until 1971, so his work is generally in copyright until 2041.kapsweiss2017 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 11, 2024 7:55 am I am looking for Beethoven Piano Sonatas edited by Craxton and Tovey. It varies by country and the hosting for this forum is relevant.
The Craxton/Tovey books seem to be easy to locate new or used online, including through the ABRSM.

(Thinking aloud: while i like Tovey commentary before each sonata, i don't think the piano score part is anything special........ i used it in 1970s as a students..... but it had been surpassed by so many better editions, even the latest ABRSM edition is so much superior)

I'm no help with the early/late sonatas, but I have vol 2 in the 1931 edition (sonatas 12-22)

Do you know why in your pdf there are pedal markings and in volume I (in Archive.org) there are not? Are they different editions?
