There's a snippet here (https://www.jstor.org/stable/10.5406/mu ... 0034?seq=1) indicating that "Southern Music Publishing" control the rights. I also note that Piers Lane has recorded the piece - perhaps contacting him (or the Queensland Symphony Orchestra) might throw up some leads.Bonjourdolly wrote: ↑Wed Dec 30, 2020 1:19 am Hello everyone
I am looking for the piano music from the 1947 film The Paradine Case. I think it is called Appassionata by Franz Waxman. I have searched and searched and searched and can’t find it anywhere.
Thank you and best wishes!

Ballad of a Soldier (Mikhail Ziv)
The composer Mikhail Ziv (1921 – 1994), pupil of the more famous Dmitrij Kabalevskij, wrote this beautiful soundtrack (for the 1959 film Ballad of a Soldier) in the form of a classical orchestral suite.
Here you can listen to the original version for orchestra
Here you can read the plot of the film

For reasons that are difficult to explain, I arranged the Prologue after publishing the first video with the other 3 pieces.
