Daphnis et Chloé for piano solo ?
Hi everyone,
I'm desperately looking for the solo piano version of Daphnis et Chloé, supposedly by Ravel himself, played in this recording by Claire-Marie Le Guay, especially the Lever du Jour from the 2nd Suite.
Could someone help me?
(I'm not looking for the - incredible - transcription by Vincenzo Maltempo...)

There's been some discussion on other sites about her Daphnis recording. Apparently (based on CD booklet info) it's a duet with herself, using re-recording (overdubbing).
More details at these 2 links, one of which has Ravel's draft for piano and vocals. It's not playable as a solo, but you can get an idea of what Le Guay is doing.

@Bill
Thank you so much for the score! I think it is indeed the one used by Claire-Marie Le Guay. Given the arpeggiated chords, and the fact that she played it live, I don't think there's any re-recording (at least not everywhere). On the other hand, it's devilishly difficult to play, but that's no surprise!

Would anyone happen to have, or know where to get, a copy of the Rheinfahrt (Rhine Journey) by Wagner, from Gotterdammerung, the arrangement by August Stradal. No, it's not on IMSLP - I've already looked. Thanks if anyone can help.

I seems to have one copies downloaded from the famous (or infamous) GFF gaming force forum in 2003..........but i could not find it anymore.
Just a curious question, who owned the GFF forums? It was such a god sent at the turn of the centuries.

I believe he/she was prosecuted for copyright infringement, which is why we, and IMSLP, try to be careful on PP. But yes, it was a goldmine in the early days of score sharing.soh choon wee wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2024 9:21 amI seems to have one copies downloaded from the famous (or infamous) GFF gaming force forum in 2003..........but i could not find it anymore.
