Re: Austrian Composers
What do Henri Herz, Fernando Sor, Theodore Latour and Pio Cianchettini have in common?
They all wrote variations on Mozart's famous 'O dolce concento' tune from The Magic Flute.

Re: Austrian Composers
Does anyone know where I can find Stefan Bergman's Himmelgesang or Caprices (as recorded by Eillen Joyce so wonderfully). I think he died in 1964 so will still be in copyright but wouldn't mind knowing a publisher or supplier. I assumed he was Scandanavian but it appears he was born in Austria and died in the Netherlands.
Cheers all

Re: Austrian Composers
According to this link, Universal Music Agencies published those works in 1935 in London. The brief bio of his life doesn't mention Scandinavia.player wrote: ↑Mon Mar 27, 2023 10:51 am Does anyone know where I can find Stefan Bergman's Himmelgesang or Caprices (as recorded by Eillen Joyce so wonderfully). The pianist's website linked to the video has a long list of his transcriptions: https://www.andrijoelharison.com/en/cat ... sonn%C3%A9margarethaverhard wrote: ↑Sat May 06, 2023 5:38 pm hi every one

Re: Austrian Composers
I think you mean Josef Weiss. He was born in 1864 in Kosice, Czechoslovakia and died in 1945. Noted pianist and composer, remembered for a number of original works, transcriptions and arrangements. He also did the music to the film 'The Student of Prague (1913). Various works including his arrangements are on YouTube, and a couple of his original works on IMSLP. I have some of his original works, but have not come across the Strauss arrangement. The Berlin State Library also hold a number of his works, but could not see the specific Strauss piece.

Schubert/Liszt Schwanengesang
Hi, I am here to ask for a score for the swan song transcription. I seem to locate some songs on the internet but no files contain all songs.
Could anyone please kindly send the score? Thank you so much.
Best,
Alvin
