Hi, new to this site. Mel Bonis is also a wonderful French late-Romantic composer, who wrote piano music, as well as chamber music.

I've encountered her on a few recent piano collections. There is a lot of her work on IMSLP but as she lived until 1937, a number of her later works are not there yet, including the lovely Op.126/13 La toute petite sendort from Miocheries, which is on Bertrand Chamayou's recent Good Night! recital. Fortunately a lot is still in print.

I have just completed the catalogue of works by Dora Bright and it is quite extensive. In case anyone is interested here is another one of her songs - 'There sits a Bird'.

If anyone has any more of her music or any other information about her I would be very interested.

Wurmbrand-Stuppach ([Wurm]Brand-Vrabely) (Grafin Wurmbrand), Stephanie von (1849-1919)

(this composer seems to have gone through a few name changes...)

However, want to highlight that her more famous piece was recently performed:



'Melusine am Quell' from Op. 33, Schone Melusine. I am not exactly sure of the No. among this opus, though.

An ensemble arrangement of this work seems to be available here, though it does not seem to be the full work.

I’ve long been looking for Fanny Hansel Mendelssohn’s E major sonatensatz (1822). It doesn’t seem to have made it into anthologies, but it’s my favourite of her solo piano pieces.

I played the Florence Price from a Peters edition, if that helps. The second movement is the best part IMO: Pathétique meets Southern Spiritual.

According to this page from the Hensel work catalogue, it was published in 1991 by Furore Verlag.
