Thank you, you are too kind ! Polona is full of little gems and nuggets!
And, you may notice that this is indeed the famous tarantella that is more often cited as 'Tarantella Napoletana,' with no author mentioned. I believe that Ricci is the original author of this tune, though it may have been borrowed from the local music of the region.

Many thanks in advance

Re: The Music of Italy
Can anyone provide works by Franco Alfano?
I've been listening to his Op.8 Danses napolitaines (1899), I really like it.
There's only a few scores on imslp.

Here's PDF of this contribution. Also resurrecting the request for any other Semprini material. By the looks of this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FVn4o9gTg9s the sheets are out there...gigiranalli wrote: ↑Fri Apr 30, 2010 10:01 am Here I am again,
in the attachment I'm posting a zip file with the scans of Alberto Semprini's "Fantasia di Canzoni", a medley of three Italian songs arranged in Semprini's novelty piano style.Semprini's Fantasia di Canzoni.zip
I hope you'll like it.
