Re: Vocal Music from Russia & the Soviet Union
Here's a Soviet-era collection of romances on Tyutchev's poetry. A number of the pieces composed before the Soviet era have been available in other editions, but the Rakov, Matveyev, and Finkelstein works are less common.
Selected Romances on the Words of F. Tyutchev, for voice and piano (pub. 1986)
contents:
Sergei Ivanovich DONAUROV - I Met You
Pyotr Ilich TCHAIKOVSKY - As Over the Burning Ashes, op. 25/2 (1875)
Pyotr Ilich TCHAIKOVSKY - Mignon's Song (from Goethe), op. 25/3 (1875)
Nikolai Nikolayevich TCHEREPNIN (CHEREPNIN) - Quiet Night, op. 8/3
Sergei Vasilyevich RACHMANINOV - I Remember that Day, op. 34/10 (1912)
Sergei Vasilyevich RACHMANINOV - The Fountain, op. 26/11 (1906)
Nikolai Karlovich MEDTNER - Houses for Thought, Wave after Wave, op. 24/3 (1911)
Nikolai Karlovich MEDTNER - Spring Tranquility, op. 28/5 (1913)
Nikolai Karlovich MEDTNER - I Sit Thoughtfully and Alone, op. 28/6 (1913)
Nikolai Petrovich RAKOV - Still Longing for Desires
