Is everyone on holiday?
For those who aren't, here's another little gem from my hero.

Re: Piano Transcriptions for two hands
Thank you, Ilu and Fred.
You might also like to check out my arrangement of Mozart's 6 German Dances K.571 on IMSLP.
Talking of IMSLP, their page for WAM's Horn Concerto No.1 K.412 is currently uneditable,
so below is what they'd have received otherwise.
It's the 2nd. movement Rondo, which sounds less mellow a 5th higher (in A major).
It's notable for carrying a separate Köchel number (K.514) and for the impolite comments
that WAM wrote in the manuscript, directed at Ignaz Leutgeb, for whom it was written.
Franz Süssmayr had a hand in the completion of this splendid piece.
There's a YouTube video of the original version of this work with WAM's comments surtitled.

One thing the YouTube video missed was Mozart's tempo markings - Allegro for the
orchestra and Adagio for poor old Leutgeb, who has gone down in history as a buffoon,
but at least he hasn't been completely forgotten.
