Re. Anton Simon
4candles, I was not aware of any other piano & orchestra works by Simon beyond the opus 19 piano concerto.............do you know what these are / opus no. etc. ?
I do have quite an extensive collection of Simon's works - if you send me an e-mail, I will respond to you (alas can not share on Pianophilia).

I remember reading in another forum that there were three works for piano and orchestra. I think it may have been thal who made the comment in fact, but I don't know any further details.
I've sent you an email and I'm very grateful for you taking the time.

Re: The Romantic Piano Concerto Thread
Nice find Fred. I've wondered what the rest of the concerto was like being familiar with the Barcarolle (as I'm sure most of us are). In order to view the page you'll probably need to remove the ending frontslash. Mod edit: Fixed, thank you. FB
There is a PDF download available there, about 35 meg.

Not sure if the 2p version of Benoit is already known. Scores from AP Hogeschool - Royal Conservatory Antwerp website.
Peter Benoit (1834 – 1901)
August de Boeck (1865 - 1937)
Piano Concerto in C major (only manuscript, but readable).
Written for the "Hans Piano", a concerto grand with 2 manuals developed for amateur pianist Pierre Hans (1886 - 1960), he had abnormally thick fingers. Later transcribed for standard piano by Josef de Beenhouwer (1982).

Many thanks Hobbypianist for the Benoit, a concerto that is a firm favourite of mine...........so wonderful to have the score (as well as the link for the De Boeck as well).Hobbypianist wrote: ↑Sun Jul 07, 2019 7:48 am Not sure if the 2p version of Benoit is already known.
