Piano Quintets

I am interested in a quintet for piano and strings by F. J. Haydn. M. Clementi or W. A. Mozart to be performed by piano student (intermediate level).

These three did not write any piano quintets - by which I take it you mean Pf,Vl1,Vl2,Va,Vc. It is generally thought that Luigi Boccherini was the first composer to write for this combination - there are two of his quintets on IMSLP. Otherwise, it was kickstarted as a combination by Robert Schumann.

I would look at the Boccherinis.

It seems that Giordani quintets might predate Boccherini's by a few years. But they are, of course, not as well known.

Thank you for the explanations and recommendations.

My first idea was to choose some divertimentos by F-J-Haydn, but as I recall include other instruments as well as strings.

I will look at the Boccherini's and Giodani's.

In this case, Steibelt's and Dussek's are great options, as suggested by Jean-Séb.
