Re: The Music of Domenico Scarlatti
Of complete editions of Scarlatti's sonatas there is, besides ofcourse the Longo, the Pupitre-edition by Gilbert (11 volumes). Ricordi has a 'complete' edition by Emilia Fadini, which only had 8 volumes so far and then stopped for many years. Recently Ricordi / Hal Leonard brought out vol. 9, which besides Fadini has Marco Moiraghi as editor. I suppose this edition will also soon be complete with the long promised tenth volume. Maybe because of this more recently the prices of the Pupitre/Heugel volumes have dropped with 50% (still not cheap, but the sonatas are priceless).

Re: The Music of Domenico Scarlatti
I have all the Ricordi/Longo editions right here in front of me--I remember buying the whole set in 1967 and in spite of editing, I still use them frequently. I hope the more recently discovered Scarlatti sonatas can be accounted for--and I'm sure they're under copyright.

Thank you, Kroket. An interesting diversion. While Fiusa has many of the Scarlatti details right, I think he misses it a bit.

Re: The Music of Domenico Scarlatti
I'm looking for a specific edition of Scarlatti (selected) sonatas.
It may be called "60 Sonatas" and it was edited by Breitkopf.
Does anyone have any knowledge of this edition?
Many thanks in advance.

Re: The Music of Domenico Scarlatti
Breitkopf is a publisher, not an editor. I suspect you may be thinking of 60 Selected Sonatas, edited by Ralph Kirkpatrick, and published by Schirmer.

Unless you mean the first one of this list :
