TV Commercials
TV Commercials
Has anyone seen that commercial for I think it was Samsung. The man was playing Beethoven's Piano Sonata No.8 movement 1, except all the piano keys were replaced with touch screen phones. I thought it was a pretty neat idea. Every time I hear it on the TV, I quickly give it my attention. So I guess the point of this topic was just to ask that question and also does anyone know of any other cool piano commercials?

Re: TV Commercials
About 30 years ago there was a commercial where it looked like a pianist was playing the opening chords of the Tchaikovsky Concerto, but when the camera changed angles, it revealed he was actually testing lemons.
Would love to see it again, but cannot find it on you tube.

I have no idea. I have yet to be domesticated.
I might have got this wrong and they could have been melons. It is really frustrating not remembering this, but it was yonks ago.
Rob must remember. He is certainly old enough.

I was tempted to edit that comment out! I only ever admit to being the right side of forty!thalbergmad wrote:I have no idea. I have yet to be domesticated.

As it happens, no, I don't remember this ad at all - I'm intrigued though.

A few years ago, Honda built a musical road near Lancaster, California. If you drove over it at a certain speed, you heard the William Tell Overture. It drove the townspeople crazy so Honda tore up the road. Honda later rebuilt the road in a more remote location.
