Never heard of Soro before, but he writes well for the piano. This piece is quite a blast when played at tempo.
Alfred continues to surprise us with gems like this. Much appreciated, dear Alfred.

Thanks very much, Alfor, for the rare Capricho No.2 of Enrique Soro. The middle section is very beautiful, almost as lovely as his Andante Appassionato.

Does anyone have the score of Consolation by Enrique Soro?
It was published by Schirmer as "Two Waltzes for Piano; i, Violet, ii, Consolation".
The University of Wisconsin seems to have a copy; I've sent them an email, so we shall see.
Here's Soro himself playing Consolation:

Thanks very much.
Oh, and don't miss this superb performance of Soro's Andante Appassionato by Diego Ortiz:

Anyone with the score to the Danza Criolla by Alberto Flacchebba (1883-19?)? Many thanks.

Even in Uruguay and Argentina Cluzeau Mortet's works are very hard to find. I re-wrote some of those works in Finale from very damaged scores from my private collection. Enjoy it. Thank you Lito for your excellent work on these Mortet scores. Very nice indeed.
