Piano Transcriptions from Staged Musicals and Shows
Piano Transcriptions from Staged Musicals and Shows
Hello I am looking for Nino Rota's 8 1/2 (mezzo e motto) for piano. Does a transcription of it exist somewhere? I would be interested to get it. I think a thread like this having the subject of film music would be good to discuss this kind of music and composers like Nino Rota.
Thank you!
Thank you!

Stranger(s) in Paradise" is a popular song from the 1953 musical Kismet and is credited to Robert Wright and George Forrest. Like all the music in that show, the melody was based on music composed by Alexander Borodin, in this case, the "Gliding Dance of the Maidens," from the Polovetsian Dances.
I would appreciate if somebody can post the piano score.

Yes, but a long ways to go before reaching the inverse perfection of "In a Persian Market", to say nothing of "The Battle of Prague".rob wrote: Uuuurghhhh...

Oddly there was a reference to Kotzwara in a period courtroom drama series on the BBC the other day - it made for an attention grabbing opening...remy wrote:Yes, but a long ways to go before reaching the inverse perfection of "In a Persian Market", to say nothing of "The Battle of Prague".rob wrote: Uuuurghhhh...

"New": Fragments from Musicals -> http://notes.tarakanov.net/musicl.htm - not only piano transcriptions, but worth a visit, nevertheless.

I am looking for the piano solo score of "Night and Day", by Cole Porter (written for the musical play "Gay Divorce" in 1932).
Thanks.
