...redirecting to American Novelty music, does anybody here own "Joe Davis' Piano Modes"
Piano_Modes.JPG
or the Clarence Williams "Negro Classics No.1" folio, i only own a poor copy....

or thinking at Lothar Perl, there was a solo published by Bregman, Vocco & Conn, i would be happy to see other piano solos published by this publisher...

Hi Adrien,

If you do a search for Lothar Perl in this forum you will see that a lot of his works have already been uploaded and should still be available for download.

Hi tobbyi,

i know that there were several Lothar Perl pieces uploaded to this forum, i was just refering to the Bregman, Vocco & Conn publisher, not
to Perl as composer. His "Symphonic Flight" published by Bregman was an example, i think there exists much more Bregman publications in the Novelty idiom
which would be of interest here : )

Hello to all,

i continue the start of tobbyjj's "Be-Bop" uploads. he was so kind to give us access to three pieces from the "Be-Bop Piano Solo Series":

Benny Carter's: Be-Bop Boogie

and

Charlie Parker's: Ornithology and Yardbird Suite.

Does anyone has Parker's "Confirmation" and "Moose The Mooche" of this series?

and also Erroll Garner's "Fantasy in Bop" and "Little Bo-Bebop"?

What i share today are five Be-Bop piano solos from another series published in the 40's by J. J. Robbins & Sons Inc. and printed and sold by the Bosworth & Co. Ltd in the UK.

There are three colaborated piano solos by Dizzy Gillespie:

Anthropology (arr. Steve Race), 1948
Gillespie, Dizzy, Anthropology, 1948 (arr. Steve Race).pdf
Oop Bop Sh-Bam (arr. Frank Paparelli), 1946
Gillespie, Dizzy, Oop_Bop_Sh-Bam, 1946 (arr. Frank Paparelli).pdf
That's Earl, Brother (arr. Frank Paparelli), 1948
Gillespie, Dizzy, That's_Earl, Brother, 1948 (arr. Frank Paparelli).pdf
one Ray Brown piece "Ray's Idea" (arr. Frank Paparelli), 1948
Brown, Ray, Ray's_Idea, 1948 (arr. Frank Paparelli).pdf
and one Monk piece "52nd Street Theme" (arr. Frank Paparelli), 1948)
Monk, Thelonius, 52nd_Street_Theme, 1948 (arr. Frank Paparelli).pdf
if someone has other music from this kind or the requested ones, please feel free to share it with us.

Happy new year :geek:

and i continue...

...with a series called "Keyboard Calvacade of Swing & Boogie Piano Solos", also published by Bosworth & Co. in the UK.

Frank even posted Bert Martland's "Boogie In The Minor". and i'll fill in with 10 more solos. in total there were 13 pieces published in this series.

what's missing up to date are the two pieces "Sax Blue Boogie" by Tom Saville & John Mason and "Swingin' On Lennox Avenue" by William Johnson.

does anyone here has the two pieces in his collection?, so we'll have the series complete in this thread.

Starting with four pieces by Artie Shaw...like the come up on the cover...i'll post in this order.

1. Summit Ridge Drive
Shaw, Artie; Summit_Ridge_Drive, 1946.pdf
2. Special Delivery Stomp
Shaw, Artie; Special_Delivery_Stomp, 1946.pdf
3. When The Quail Comes Back To St. Quentin
Shaw, Artie; When_The_Quail_Comes_Back_To_St. Quentin, 1946.pdf
4. Dr. Livingstone (I Presume)
Shaw, Artie; Dr. Livingstone, 1946.pdf
