What wonderful finds here, Alfred. The Skrzydlewski Ballade is quite lovely and is my pick of these pieces just posted. And the 4 volumes of Szalit are certainly worth a play through, too. Am glad to see that I'm not alone in never having heard of these composers. Just hope nobody asks me who the composer of the Ballade is....it'll take me a while to learn how to pronounce that one!

Paula Szalit (Szalitowna) was a child prodigy. If I remember correctly, she (inadvertendly) was one of the reasons that young Elly Ney left Leschetitiky for Emil Sauer. L. did not recognize the talent of E. N. and constantly instanced Paula Szalit as an exemplary student who perfectly performed all the exercises L. imposed on his pupils.
