Hofmann, Josef Casimir
Josef Casimir Hofmann (originally Józef Kazimierz Hofmann). Born 1876 in Podgórzr, near Krakow, Austria-Hungry (now Poland). Died 1957 in Los Angeles. He was a Polish-American virtuoso pianist, composer, music teacher and inventor. He used the pseudonym Michel Dvorsky for some of his early compositions. Considered by some as the greatest pianist of the 20th century.

For example, the Three Impressions – Nos. 1 & 2 my copies I think are better than on IMSLP, whilst their No. 3, I believe to be a better copy than mine. Plus I have inlcuded a number of new works not previously available. Your choice on what you wish to download.

Much less sophisticated than Godowsky, H.'s legacy of compositions is more reminiscent of his teacher (Anton!) Rubinstein (with the exception of some more modern later works). An overview of the compositions of this legendary pianist* is long overdue!
* If you want to listen to an unusually „classic“ (timeless) pianist Hofmann, search for „Bell Telephone Hour“ at youtube!!
