Emil, thank you for your most recent postings. I enjoyed the subtle arrangements of the the Chuvash folk songs as the melodies are quite interesting--primarily pentatonic. I was also delighted to compare the two versions of the Myaskovsky 3rd Sonata. Clearly, the composer didn't like the way he originally started the piece. Like all Myaskovsky's music, this piece is very well written for our instrument.

It will be interesting to compare the Alfor posted editions of these works with the 1st editions you have posted here, Emil. So I will have an interesting evening doing just that, but always find time to play his Etude in F-minor--a favorite of mine.

The file that Sibley posted of Leonid Sabaneyev's 8 Préludes, Op10 is missing the fourth. Does anyone have a scan of this? Thanks.

Jim, take another look. All the preludes are there. No.4 starts in mid-page. With all those 10ths, I'm having no fun with this set!
