Another transcription by Isidor Philipp (1863-1958) - Popper's Danse des Elfes (op 39).

Thank you!!
Popper was the part-time husband of Sophie Menter and this piece was his „warhorse“ (as far as I know).
Best regards, Alfor S. Cans

I believe the piece is still popular with the virtuoso cellists.

Thanks for the Popper transcription, Malcolm. Nice to have a good arrangement of this piece.

Two Strauss transcriptions /arrangements by Erno Dohnanyi (1877-1960) - these do not appear to be available on IMSLP and I could not see any previous posting on Pianophilia.

J Strauss - Du und Du Walzer
Dohnanyi - Strauss J 'Du und Du' Walzer.pdf
J Strauss - Schatz-Walzer
Dohnanyi - Strauss J 'Schatz-Walzer'.pdf

No idea where you found those Alfred, as definitely not under Dohnanyi on IMSLP [suspect they were under Strauss] ? Alternate copies I'm sure are always welcomed [especially as some scans on IMSLP are very poor].

No doubt these are on IMSLP as well, but as I've scanned them - I've decided to post them ! Some original Dohnanyi to come later in the week.

Certainly are old chap and it is nice to have a clean copy of the Delibes transcription.

Katsaris recorded it and it is difficult to recall a more splendid bit of romantic bravado.
