I come across some information that, leonid kreutzer had edited some (or even complete) Chopin, but that is about all I know.

Does anyone has any information (and/or scan) of this edition?? I hope it has passed the copyright period.

Dear Alfor, just out of curiosity, how you finger the first three bars of this particular ballade?? Not a fast passage, almost any fingering are usable, but just uncomfortable (if you try to change hand position at the same time), or comfortable (but you have to change hand position at different time).
In my teaching career.... I hate to give any suggestion to my students.

more to come! I do not have the complete Kreutzer edition, but quite a lot of it.

I will post some fingering suggestions, but let me say that imho in the bars in question
it is hardly avoidable to stretch and contract the hand for several times.

Agreed! I never had a problem with this passage, and my small hands only span a 9th. I would be particularly interested in Krutzer's edition of the Etudes--a never ending source of introspection.

I appreciate the HIGH QUALITY of genuine Alfor scans.....especially after view Gallacia!
It is very interesting to compare Kreutzer and Cortot versions of the Ballads.....
