Re: Austrian Composers
This is odd: I don't see any sonatas by Kamillo Horn on ISMLP and Alfor's MediaFIre library has vanished.
Have I moved into the twilight zone, or what?

Twilight zone indeed. Mediafire does not always work as we would like it...fleubis wrote:This is odd: I don't see any sonatas by Kamillo Horn on ISMLP and Alfor's MediaFIre library has vanished.

(The pianophilia search function would have done, though...

IMSLP: I had to google „Kamillo Horn Sonata imslp“ to find it
(don't know why imslp is hiding that file in a way)...

The file was only recently uploaded to IMSLP--sometimes it takes a while for a work to appear on the composer's page after copyright approval. Mediafire has definitely been cranky lately.

Re: Austrian Composers
Thanks for the direct links to the Horn sonata. I've now downloaded both versions. Clearly MediaFire is still messed up, as I can't even login to my own account there let alone see your directory listing, Alfor. Am only now becoming aware of IMSLP's peculariites and am glad no scores have been lost.

Re: Austrian Composers
Three more Kamillo Horn pieces have appeared on IMSLP: the 2 Piano Pieces for Left Hand, Op.33 which are also available elsewhere (scorser, etc.) and Im Fieberwahn, no.4 of the Bilder der Nacht, Op.37. I'm uploading a slightly cleaned version of the latter. Hopefully more of the set will appear.

Re: Austrian Composers
Rosentock gives us a lot to think about in both his sonata and this concerto. He frequently writes in post-Wagnerian harmonies with melodically complex ideas.
Thanks for posting this, Alfred.

TTTOS. I shared these link from another forum. It's said that this edition is by Goldenweiser (I can't read Russian, sorry). I take a look and the edition is really very fine. Though I never play Mozart.
