As, imho, there is no „best“ fingering for these pages, my intention was to show the fingering solutions of various editors - all (perhaps with the exception of Mrs. Bricard) belonging to the most famous pianists of their generation.

Friedmann had edited three volumes of Liszt compositions for Brietkopf & Hartel. I am not sure if they are still easily available, but would be curious to look at them.
Does anyone happens to have a digital copies of the three volumes???

Friedman in fact edited the majority of Liszt's works.
If at least one more PP member evinces interest in these editions, I will upload a couple.

Talking about this, I am particularly interested in what fingerings do Ignaz Friedman suggest to the etude 'un sospiro'. Thanks alfor!

I'm modestly curious about these, but I'm much more curious about Rosenthal's Ullstein editions of Liszt, since his editorial additions/corrections were presumably derived from his firsthand experience with Liszt.

I have the Siloti version/edited Liszt - Les Jeux D`eaux A La Villa D`este (Liszt, Franz, and Alexander Siloti. Les jeux d'eaux à la villa d'Este. New York: Carl Fischer, 1924.).

Is this a postable file? If so, and if not posted, I can scan and upload if there is interest in this enlightening version of this great piece.

Not only „fabric infos“ from you, that would be great!
The piece is not included in the recent „Alexander Siloti collection“!
