I PDFed this from some poor jpgs I found a while back. It should be servicable.edvond wrote:Hi all
For years, I have been searching for the Shchurovsky Toccata score. Even though there are several short pieces of Shchurovsky published in various Russian and Soviet anthologies, the Toccata remains elusive. Could it be that so rare that it is now forgotten?
It is well written and appears to be very pianistic.
Does anyone out there have a copy that they can post? Or tell me where it has been published?
Many thanks!

Thanks for posting the Shchurovsky Toccata, Jim. It's short and effective without being at all difficult.

I'm glad people are enjoying the Toccata. I found the Elegy in four poor jpgs and made a PDF of it. I don't know which collection these were taken from, but the typesetting is very familiar.

Re: Russian & Soviet Composers - Part 3
Ivan Karabits (Karabyts), wrote a lovely "Elegy" for solo piano, I checked Duma and they have a set of shorts (working to obtain) and his 24 preludes in Chopin's Preludes Key sequence (also working to get ), no mention of this. Does anyone know who publishes this or where I might obtain it? Many thanks for any help and pointing me in the right direction

Many thanks for these I had a library trip planned for these but this will save me a few hours of combined commuting and scanning for folks. I should have those short pieces in a few weeks, I am maxed out on owned items at the moment but will grab them soon.Jim Faston wrote:Here are the preludes. If anyone has any info on the elegy or any other of his piano works, would really appreciate any additional insights.
