Re: Scriabin, his circle and his influence
Thanks, Malcolm! I've wondered for some time what his music is like! J

Re: Scriabin, his circle and his influence
As promised, Nemtin's Piano Sonata No. 2 'The Irish' - a work that is very different to his more 'Scriabinesque' styled first sonata.

Re: Scriabin, his circle and his influence
Thank your Malc for the Nemtin Op.6 Sonata. It is hard to believe this was written by the same person as his earlier sonata. Am finding this much more to my liking~!

Re: Scriabin, his circle and his influence
Don't have much Popov in my collection, so these are welcome additions. I confess to not hearing many Scriabin-eque qualities, but that's just my ears.
Thanks for posting, Alfred.

Re: Scriabin, his circle and his influence
The first (424.15kB) is closer to the one I had been using....... a lot more 'cheating' with right hand....
But more and more I wonder if the 'cheating' had altered the nature of the music ........
BUT, thanks Alfor, you definitely removed my doubt... (I am very relieved my 'cheating' is not alone).
WOW... I like the ending... I never saw that possibility of using the left hand at all.... THANK YOU.

That's why I prefer the usual distribution of the hands. It allows a much better „voicing“ of the two melodic lines!soh choon wee wrote:The first (424.15kB) is closer to the one I had been using....... a lot more 'cheating' with right hand....

Re: Scriabin, his circle and his influence
Here is Scriabin's roll recording of Poeme op.32 no.1, transcribed by Pavel Lobanov, with the orginal.
