Two Noel Coward transcriptions. I did one of them some years ago, and the other just recently:

I've only just seen this, not having stopped by here for quite some time. I don't know which of his "superiors" Sorabji wasn't very nice to but, leaving them aside (whoever they may have been), he was certainly well unimpressed with Stanford; coincidentally, I happen to know someone who is familiar with some Sorabji's music and who, when I asked him why he 'd named his son Stanford, replied "because I didn't want him to be a musician"...thalbergmad wrote:Hope you kept them apart.Timtin wrote: Yesterday, it was Sorabji and Stanford sitting on my piano
Sorabji was not very nice to his superiors.
Anyway, swiftly and wisely reverting to the thread topic (often quite a good idea, I find!), I understand that rumour has it that there's a piano transcription of themes from the musical Cabaret but I don't know if anyone here has any knowledge of it.
Best,
Alistair

Here is a new transcription of another William Bolcom arrangement, of Gershwin's "They All Laughed." For those who wish to hear the original recording (and please, do not download it), go to this link:
https://soundcloud.com/fredric-dannen/s ... ll-laughed
For those who like these performances as much as I do, I recommend purchasing some of Bolcom & Morris's CDs.

Another William Bolcom arrangement, my transcription. This is Irving Berlin's "Pack Up Your Sins And Go To The Devil." Although Berlin had no formal musical training whatsoever, this is one of four songs he wrote in perfect counterpoint.
You can listen to the original recording here:

This was highly successful in the West End in the twenties,
and was turned into a really bad B movie starring Michael
Bartlett and June Knight in 1937.

Thank you.
This site is the one owned by Mercuzio who has already shared some of his transcriptions here.
I am afraid to disagree that they are not under some sort of copyright. Even if the transcriber Mercuzio does not care for copyright for himself, I believe that the copyright attached to the original work is still valid and present in the transcription.
