Recordings and Requests
I would like to share some of my recordings and original pieces with everyone here at Pianophilia. I would also like everyone to know that I am an expert sight reader and can play most pieces fairly well at the first attempt, so if anyone has any scores that have been shared of which no recordings already exist, feel free to make a request and I would be happy to make a recording for you to have an idea of what the piece sounds like. It may not be perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but it can be helpful at least!!
I will begin with my most recent somewhat-finished work, my Three Songs by Thomas Hardy. They may each be found on Youtube with the score included in each video.
No 1. Heredity: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=spOWYfLTxzU
No 2. She, at His Funeral: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sk2wG4LNrcQ
No 3. Mad Judy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FtkSm-chDJ4
I plan to next share some recent recordings I made of Mocheles and Kullak pieces that probably haven't been recorded before. There are little mistakes here and there, but I hope they are useful to present the sounds of each of these composers. Enjoy!

Re: Recordings and Requests
Thanks Tim! It's too bad we don't get a lot of traffic in this part of the forum. Here is a link to several Moscheles recordings. My way of doing music is to sight read everything, so there are mistakes all over, but they don't sound too bad! I hope you all enjoy.

Re: Recordings and Requests
As regards Hardy, a setting of The Darkling Thrush would be cool!
As regards sight-reading, my crime is to always slow down a bit
when faced with a more difficult passage!
Regards, Tim.

Thanks!

I'll take a look at it, Tim! My crime is to play too many wrong notes when that happens, or to occasionally slow down as well.
4candles, these Deleborde Preludes look very nice. I will definitely make some recordings for you of whom you requested. Unfortunately, I just messed up all of my pedals by trying to fix a problem, so hopefully I can fix the issue soon and get back to recording. Your request is first on my list!

Hi 4candles, I fixed my problem and just made some fresh recordings for you! The preludes are a lot of fun to play. Here are some selections from the op.13 set. There's a lot of faking going on in no.8 haha.

They are charming preludes, some of them not so easy, and you can hear harmonic quirks every now and again that remind me that he was a bit of an eccentric!
Clearly a very accomplished pianist, it seems Delaborde knew how to write well for the instrument too!
I'm a big fan of 19th/early 20th-century French piano music, so I have a list of recordings I'd like to hear.
Though not French, how about some Golinelli next? There are a number of scores on PP.

Re: Recordings and Requests
Luckily, I'm enjoying my "weekend" from work so I've been quick to record! I definitely agree about the harmonic quirks, which actually reminded me somewhat of Reger in small moments, just in the feeling of eccentricity rather than a sharing of a certain stylistic trait. I am very glad to play your requests because I am completely unfamiliar with these composers. I went ahead and took a big job, tackling one of Golinelli's piano sonatas. This is the one that was shared by Oren and seems to be a later and alternate version of Piano Sonata No.3 Op.54. I played through each movement once and then these recordings are the second play through, recorded only once.
