Re: Music from the British Isles
All of the versions of Cyril Scott's Allegro (Pierrot Gai--No. 2 from Two Pierrot Pieces) that I've seen are of a revised edition from 1929. Does anyone have information on or a scan of the original 1904 edition? Thanks.

Hello Jim,
Here are the Two Pierrot pieces by Cyril Scott in the 1904 Edition. I am including the first piece as well for any members that don't have either. Also I would like to thank you for the many downloads of music you have put on PP I have enjoyed playing them.
Peter.

Many thanks--a quick side-by-side reveals a number of minor changes. I'll give it a careful look and a runthrough this evening. I'm glad to be able to contibute to the cause via PP.liveforpiano wrote:Hello Jim,

As a big fan of Thomas Dunhill, this new addition to IMSLP was pleasing to see.

Re: Music from the British Isles
I've been meaning to post this for ages. I thought about creating a new thread on reversible, invertible etc music, but it can just as well go here with the other Ronald Binge pieces.

Re: Music from the British Isles
hopefully considered an appropriate and welcome "bump",
friendly FYI effort to get more eyes on a nice fairly scarce resource and shameless plug for my upload in the "Miscellaneous Matters Musical" under books related to music. You'll find York Bowen's book on pedalling. Fresh scan from yesterday's foray through the "stacks"
