Re: The Romantic Piano Concerto Thread
I'm not sure if this concerto fits in the 'romantic' era, but Thal (honorary guru of the CPS) may be able to shed some light on it.

Re: The Romantic Piano Concerto Thread
Hi all,
Is there any possibility for posting the Ballade for Piano and Orchestra by Tailleferre? It's such a beautiful piece and I do want to include it in my coming concert. The version I want is the two piano version. Thanks in advance.
Best,
Koon

Re: The Romantic Piano Concerto Thread
Shame on you Thal - Villoing was the teacher of Anton Rubinstein and this concerto was played by the young Rubinstein throughout Europe in the 1840s. I've been looking for it for years, so many thanks to Fred for the link.thalbergmad wrote:Nice work old chap, never heard of him.

Its historical significance is also commented on extensively in Jeremy Norris' monograph on the history of the Russian piano concerto.

That is still available via print on demand old chap. Or at least it was a couple of years ago when I bought it. Ravishing work.phikfy wrote:Hi all,
