Wonderful! Many thanks.
I wonder if you could check book 3 -- the link didn't work for me.
All best

Please try again - I just inserted the correct link.isokani wrote:Wonderful! Many thanks.

P.S. I still do have some difficulty to grab the undertones of British understatement. So I am not completely certain whether you are interested in the Granados and de Falla recordings by Querol or not.
If you do not mind, please clarify for a "blunt" continental gentleman. Thank you!

Best regards, Alfor S. Cans

Re: IBERIA
Dear Alfor
I will cease to beat around the bush.
I would love to hear Querol's Granados etc. I just didn't want to give you too many tasks.
With best wishes etc

please feel free to bother me with any musical wish you have!
More Querol to come. I have to take the liberty to broaden the scope of this thread by understanding the word "IBERIA" as a synonym for the Iberian Peninsula, so hopefully being allowed to post also works by other spanish composers than Albeniz.
Alicia de LARROCHA ("Mrs. Iberia")
Mompou: Impresiones intimas
Granados: 2 pieces from Goyescas, El Pelele

Re: IBERIA
I don't know nothing about the main occupation (apart from piano playing) of big rabbits
(there are rumors, though...).
So I hope you will find the time to listen to this, dear isokani:
Leopoldo QUEROL
de Falla:
Fantasia Boetica (sic!)
Quatre Piéces Espagnoles

Re: IBERIA
I downloaded Paul Mast's very interesting dissertation about Iberia from Sibley Library and compiled it into one file:

Re: IBERIA
Hello!
I know this thread was last posted in some years ago, but I'm currently working through the Goyescas and wanted to thank you for posting these precious recordings from Querol. I have listened to a few recordings of this massive work but this one is interesting, too!
Thank you.

Re: IBERIA
In addition to a few that have already been mentioned, I like versions by Eduardo Fernandez, Marc-Andre Hamelin, and Yorum Ish-Hurwitz.
