Speaking of CPE Bach, is there a scan of an english translation of his Essay on the True Art of Playing Keyboard Instruments?

Hello Klaviersonic!

I haven't managed to locate a scan of this on any of the websites I use for downloading pedagogical literature. Mitchell's 1949 translation was (as Mitchell states in his preface) the first ever published and is still in copyright, which explains its unavailability. So, unless someone generously donates a translation of their own as public domain material, I guess we're restricted to scans of the original German or of the French translation (both available at IMSLP as I'm sure you know) for a good few years to come. Otherwise, I'd certainly be planning to scan the Mitchell myself as a must-have for the reference library of my own forthcoming website. (Frankly, I can't envisage ever getting round to translating the Essay myself - I've a project lined up to translate Tuerk's method which is likely to take some years to complete!)
