Most excellent indeed, Alfor! The op23 is very well written, as usual for KE. The "a la burla" is a real show piece.

Elert ist nicht karg!

Sigfrid KARG-ELERT
Skandinavische Weisen. 7 Vortragsstücke für Pianoforte.
Mit erläuternder Anmerkung über Pedalbehandlung. OP. 28.
(From original first edition. - I will give my undersized
reprint score to the local optician. Will make a perfect vision test  !)

Excellent pieces in the footsteps of Grieg.

Dear Alfor,

Your score may be undersized, but the copy is beautiful.
Better let the optician have a copy of this as well, he may play piano!!

Peter.

To clarify: The scan I posted is from the big-sized, well-readable o-r-i-g-i-n-a-l edition,
which I borrowed from Leipzig City Library!

Many thanks for the Karg-Elert! I'm always happy to add some new pieces of his to my library.

I'll second that! Karg-Elert pieces are always a welcome addition. Nice to have some of his simpler pieces.
Thanks, Alfor!

Excellent Alfor.........I am extra pleased when you post a Russian score :D

But then I find all your postings very interesting and often quite amazing [all the Michalowski, for example, was quite an achievement and for which I along with many others are no doubt very grateful to you].

Many thanks again.

Thanks alfor for the ARUTYUNYAN sonata. Polyphonic indeed, with some interesting ideas.

(Side parenthetical note, I have always wondered why most composers equate polyphonic writing with fugue, it's too obvious, isn't it? )
