Re: Alfor's Rarities
A very useful website, so I'll second that "thanks!"
Thanks Alfred for the two nice little teaching pieces from our friend Michalowski. Always nice to have a few unknown pieces around for the developing piano student.

Re: Alfor's Rarities
Thanks Alfred for these latest Michalowski pieces. The Capriccietto is more like a humoresque in its playful attitude and very delightful. The 2nd Romance is truly lush and very lovely.

Thank you Alfor, I've downloaded few of the scores from your media share for my daughter

Re: Alfor's Rarities
It's in the repertoire of Italian pianist Roberto Prosseda, so there is hope!liveforpiano wrote:I have that LP and the score of the work. The Lp is missing a whole (Scherzo) movement. I suppose that is not too surprising. The full work would have gone into another record.lutoslawski wrote:Was wondering if there is any more recordings out there of alexandrov's work.
Until now i own (or have) and seen, Sonata no.2 played by Yakov Zak, The hyperion release with hamish milne with the Sonata no.3 and 4. And the marvelous recording of sonata no.14 posted by alfor. And The Symphony no.1 and Piano Concerto Op.102 released only in LP.
Tony
Very interesting work. Needs a new (CD) recording.
