Help request
Could someone identify this encore I wrongly attributed to Ysaye (the finale of one of the 6 sonatas) ?. I checked with the score and I realized I was wrong. And I had the occasion to hear this encore many times in my life !

Mistery piece
Recently the famous german violinist Frank Peter Zimmermann played as an encore a virtuoso piece, a set of Variations on the Haydn-Austrian hymn motive. Since its structure is very similar to Paganini's Variations on God save the King, I was sure that Zimmermann encore had been written by P. But ... it seems that Paganini never wrote such a piece. Same for Wieniawski, who is quoted on youtube to be the author (the piece on youtube is played by an unknown violinist). After a recent performance of Zimmermann, the radio speaker told that the author was the same violinist, who probably wrote a piece in perfect Paganini-style.
Any information about that ??
