Thanks to Sir P for unearthing and Malc for posting these nice Schulhoff pieces. I especially like the the Op 22 Carnaval de Venise, which is one of his more challenging pieces.

Wilhelm Kuhe (1823-1912). Pianist. He studied with Proksch, Tomaschek and Thalberg. Went to London in 1845 with the singer Pischek and decided to settle in England. From 1886-1904 was professor at the Royal Academy of Music. Further details can be found on Wikipedia. He composed a number of salon pieces and operatic fantasies.

I have posted his Fantasie on Il Trovatore [thank you Mr P].

Indeed it was. MAB No.10 and it is the full score.

The CPS has an original and will eventually get around to scanning it.

Published in 1950 and out of print as far as I am aware.

Yes, sounds like a strange mixture of Berlioz and Danny Elfman. But I do like it.
