Does anybody have any imagination what is the opera "Atahualpa" by Carlo Enrico Pasta (1895)?
At least baritono part?

I believe it has been sung by Florez under the direction of Domingo in Lima last year.
So the main role should be a tenor.
A recording and a vocal score would be very interesting to have !
Pasta was born in Milano and settled later in Lima. The librettist of the opera is the famous Ghislanzoni, who wrote also the libretto for Aida. At those times (1874) the performance of Atahualpa (inspired by the life of the last Inca) must have been an amazing event.

Well, it's not an opera, but a concert aria, using the rare and beautiful
combination of soprano, piano, and orchestra. This is an old VS version.

Has anyone noticed that there seems to be a distinct shortage
of vocal scores of the operas of Haydn on the net? Having recently
seen Orlando Paladino on TV, my quest to find the score of this or
any other of his operas has thus far proved fruitless.

Since the discovery of Haydn operas is rather recent, I suppose that scores have been printed not many years ago, so they are very expensive and copyrighted.
