Op. 129 by Reger. Is there an edition that can be posted? I can't find it.

Re: 19th Century German organ works
Hello fellow pianophiliacs,
has anyone heard of the composer Carl August Kern?
He composed works with different pieces called "Orgelkranz" op. 219 and op. 220.
I checked the usual libraries (BSB, SBB, etc.) but to no avail...
Thanks for help,
Arglmann

According to Klaus Beckmann's Repertorium, the Orgelkranz was published in 6 volumes by Gressler, all his other organ works were published by Körner, Langensalza, Beyer and by Andre (Offenbach), more than 400 opuses. His harmonium pieces were published by Mustel in Paris. Kern was born in Bobenhausen/Hessen in 1836 and died in Laubach in 1897.
My sources suggest to me that Gressler was taken over by Rühle & Wendling who were subsequently absorbed by Merseberger. You can ask them and see what they know.
Hope this helps a little.
best wishes
Brian

Attached three 'Character pieces' by Rudolf Bibl (1832-1902). Bibl was an Austrian organist and composer. Pupil of Sechter, organist of the Stephansdom and Hofcapellmeister in Vienna.

These contributions from Sibley are best here, I think...
