I would gladly voice an additional 7 notes of interest in hearing the Rubbra Preludes, or 9 additional to hear recordings of Alan Bush piano works if this would provide incentive to post these fascinating (and extremely rare) recordings. Written requests can be few and far between, but we all know the download statistics alone show there is tremendous interest in your massive contributions. There is not thanks enough in the world to express the appreciation I personally feel for your monumental generosity, and your achievements shared through Pianophilia over the years, and I truly know that this opinion is shared by the majority of our membership. I am guilty for having not made more acknowledgements in this way, especially for the past few years. But I've never lost my realization that an Alfor posting always represents "the best of the best" in terms of pure musicality, intrinsic artistic value, and technical accomplishment (meaning here simply clear, easy to read, brilliant scans). You have exquisite taste and a dedication to research that I wish many of our widely published musicologists (past and present) could embrace.

thank you very much for your kind words!!

Although this is not the forum where everyone has a lot of spare time and can always post extensive comments - and I do understand this - it is nevertheless an encouragement if one happens to receive posts like yours!

(LP-)Recordings of piano works by Rubbra and A. Bush are in fact quite rare and so I am very much inclined to do you and (few?) others the favour to convert these recordings to the „flac“ format („lossless“!) and post them.

Anyone with a penchant for the piano music of William Sterndale Bennett
might like to know that his IMSLP page is gradually expanding, with most
of his hitherto missing piano solo opuses being uploaded one by one.

Last week saw the appearance of his delightful Tema e Variazioni Op31,
a scan of the first edition of his 4 movement long 'Nest of Nightingales'
Fantaisie Op16 dedicated to Schumann is currently awaiting moderation,
and there's more to come soon.

Personally, I can't get enough of WSB!
