A quick search at Worldcat throws up 20 or so works (mostly for piano and various chamber forces). Various libraries hold the works in question.minacciosa wrote:Anyone ever seen scores by Maria Bach (1896-1978, Student of Joseph Marx)?

Re: Women Composers
Thanks for that information! Now we are all better informed. I think this composer is ripe for a revival, at least on recordings.

Part two (of 3) of the Cours complet pour l'enseignement du forté piano of Hélène de Montgeroult appeared on the BNF website several months ago--I must have missed it. The BNF holds the other two volumes--do they have any kind of request policy?

I did see this one... quite an interesting work. I do not think they have a (free) request policy, but they have a very easy-to-use request system for a fee. This is a rather large work, though.Jim Faston wrote:Part two (of 3) of the Cours complet pour l'enseignement du forté piano of Hélène de Montgeroult appeared on the BNF website several months ago--I must have missed it. Re: Women Composers
Thank you Caprotti. I am looking forward to seeing part 3 which has several of the beautiful etudes that have been recorded. I do not seem to find their score anywhere.
