If you want to make the Prelude a study,
try different fingering:

a) 5-4-3-2-1-2-3-4-5
b) 5-4(3)-2-1-2-1-2-4(3)-5
c) 4-2-1-3-2-3-1-2-4

Borde! That valse puts in him in that category, but I´d raise him up a notch for the nice fugue he gives us which I great fun with this morning. Yes, maybe a finger exercise is warranted in the prelude given it's very tame nature.

I must say....... your (c) 4-2-1-3-2-3-1-2-4 makes a very good exercise (for a figure of 8 saddle movement of the wrist)..... I read about this from George Woodhouse 8 volumes technique books.......... alas, only have 10 minutes to glance through these 8 volumes as Royal Academy of Music only let me have it for that amount of time.
I am still dying to read the 8 volumes properly. We really don't have anyone with connection to RAM library???
