What a curious piece the Benoist-Méchin Rag-Nocturne is! A highly unlikely meeting between polar opposites as it were, but definitely oddly titled. I expect this piece attracted sales on title alone. Quite a fun romp!

Thanks for posting, Alfred.

The Bogé Caprice is surely a lovely piece and nicely catering to some of Cortot's specialties including a nice pianissimo double notes passage on p.5.
This is the first entry of Bogé in my library (and about which I can find no infos). Let's be on the lookout for two other pieces he wrote indicated on the title page-- a Barcarolle and Valse Impromptu.

Thanks for posting this well-written piece, Alfred.

Bost-Siefert ! Yes, quite unknown to me (not unusual, as 90% of what you post is unknown to me! :D ). From 1924 we have this very French sounding trio of character pieces which Google Translate says are:

1) Some Memories - Waltz
2) Reverie to Prom in 192? - Modern dance
3) To light and heat - a Tango

And quite a delightful trio of pieces it is as you continue to comb through the hidden chateaus of France unearthing these gems for us, Alfred.

I wonder if anyone sees as much humor in this little piece as I do. The very carefully laid out dynamic markings really add to the fun. This would be a great little encore piece.

Thanks for this one, Alfred.

Aha! Bonnai gives us a little mystery and a charming little French lullaby. Very nice Alfred.
