Re: Alfor's Rarities
Thanks for the Rach additions. I greatly enjoyed R's rendition of Carnival. He plays with such great clarity of intent, and always finds hidden things to emphasize.

Re: Alfor's Rarities
Thanks for the "Rach 3,1 fin.fgd" .... just now adding in these replacement pages. Happily (and for once) I can say that I am well familiar with those Rach fragments.
Nice pix of Busoni.

Re: Alfor's Rarities
P.S.
Rach 3,1 page 36, bars 12 & 14, left hand, upper voice
1 - 2 (instead of 2 - 1; matter of choice)
page 37, bar 5, left hand:
the „3“ slightly got out of place: it of course refers to the last note in the bar!

Re: Alfor's Rarities
Final (?) hairs to be split:
RACH 3,1 page 37, bar 9, second half, right hand:
C sharp: 2, E: 4
bar 11, second half, bar 12, first half, right hand:
some may prefer to play the F with 3 (instad of 4)
Bars 6 to 8 have some double-stemmed notes. Imho these are intended to be heard
as a sort of melodic structure and to be continued over the whole page.
Nevertheless all pianists make this page a swirling mush of sound.
Same problem with the beginning of Schumann's Kreisleriana!!
